India, Sep 03: South Indian Bank's Onam campaign, 'Onam Orumayude Olam', is gaining massive traction across social media platforms. The advertisement film with a duration of 90 seconds has turned into a viral sensation, attracting over 5 crore views this Onam season.
As an institution deeply rooted in Kerala, the campaign highlights South Indian Bank's core values of unity, heritage, and long-standing community bonds passed down through generations. Through this initiative, the Bank conveys a powerful message: "When people stand together, nothing is impossible."
The 90-second ad film revolves around a group of youth who restore an abandoned snake boatthrough crowdfunding after it was shelved due to financial difficulties. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Martin Prakkat and scripted by Sarath Prakash, the film features Kiran Peethambaran in the lead role. Beyond its narrative, the campaign is also translating its message into action, with the chundan vallam featured in the film being restored as part of the production. The visually captivating commercial was shot against the scenic backdrop of Alappuzha's backwaters.
