Mumbai Oct 06: Timezone, one of India's social entertainment destinations, has launched Platinum, a new premium membership tier designed to recognise and reward its most loyal guests, offering enhanced rewards, priority access and exclusive experiences across its venues nationwide. The launch reflects a broader shift in customer expectations, with guests increasingly seeking recognition, access and memorable experiences from the brands they engage with most frequently.
Within 3 days of launch, Platinum attracted 1,000 members, signalling strong early interest in the new offering.
Platinum builds on Timezone’s existing tiered loyalty programme, which enables members to unlock enhanced benefits as their engagement with the brand increases. The programme currently includes Welcome(Red Card), Blue Elite and Gold tiers, with Gold members receiving benefits including gameplay discounts, complimentary games subject to qualifying spend, party discounts, exclusive offers and invitations to select events.
The behaviour of Timezone’s higher-tier members also points to a strong relationship between frequency, engagement and spend. In 2025, Gold members in India visited Timezone approximately three times as often and spent around four times as much as Red members, making this highly engaged customer base an important part of the brand’s loyalty ecosystem. This underscores the importance of highly engaged guests to the business, and the role that loyalty programmes can play in deepening long-term relationships.
Platinum has been designed for these frequent guests, bringing together a more comprehensive set of benefits that goes beyond traditional rewards. Members receive 38,000 reward points, a complimentary game, priority access to select experiences, invitations to new game launches and events, and other member-only privileges.
The launch comes as consumers increasingly place greater value on experience-led leisure and entertainment over products. The 2026 BookMyShow-EY-Parthenon report, Beyond Attention. Into Immersion, found that 78% of Indian consumers prefer spending on experiences over material purchases. Separately, the CBRE Research and Invest India Retail Entertainment Survey 2024-25 found that more than 70% of consumers across age groups are seeking shared social experiences and hence they favour active entertainment formats such as bowling, game arcades, play zones and interactive competitive games.
For Timezone, the introduction of Platinum reflects this evolution in consumer engagement — giving frequent visitors more than transactional rewards by creating greater access to experiences, events and privileges within the Timezone ecosystem.
Abbas Jabalpurwala, Chief Executive Officer, Timezone India, said,
“Our most loyal guests choose to spend their leisure time with us regularly, and Platinum is our way of recognising that relationship. While rewards remain important, we are seeing growing interest in experiences, exclusive access and opportunities to engage more deeply with the brands people love. Platinum brings those elements together in a way that reflects how loyalty is evolving today.”
Following the strong early response, Timezone plans to continue expanding the experiences and benefits available to Platinum members through future game launches, events and member-only
