Bengaluru, Sep 30: Ladies Circle India, Area 6, in association with She For Society, has launched Queens Drive, a livelihood initiative aimed at enabling single women to achieve greater financial independence through sustainable employment opportunities.
As part of the initiative, 10 TVS electric autos were handed over to 10 women beneficiaries at an inauguration held at Nexus Mall, Koramangala, Bengaluru.
The initiative has been designed to go beyond one-time financial assistance by creating a regular source of income for the beneficiaries. By providing each woman with an electric auto, Queens Drive seeks to enable them to earn independently, support their families and build greater long-term economic security.
The initiative also brings together two important priorities, women’s economic empowerment and sustainable mobility. The distinctive pink electric autos are intended to serve not only as livelihood assets, but also as visible symbols of independence and opportunity.
Speaking on the initiative, Cr. Supriya Y, Area 6 Chairperson, Ladies Circle India, said,
“Queens Drive reflects what Ladies Circle India stands for, women supporting women and creating opportunities that can have a lasting impact. The objective is not just to provide a vehicle, but to give these women a means to earn with dignity, become self-reliant and create a more secure future for themselves and their families.”
The inauguration was attended by Ms. Aiyshwarya Mahadev, Vice Chairperson, Karnataka Road Development Corporation, and AICC Spokesperson, as Chief Guest. Also present were Cr. Supriya Y, Area 6 Chairperson, Ladies Circle India, and Area 6 AST Cr. Supraja S.
The Queens Drive project was spearheaded by Project Convenors Cr. Ashwini B M and Cr. Payal Sankhla, with support from the Area 6 Ladies Circle India team, She For Society, TVS and other project partners and supporters.
Through Queens Drive, Ladies Circle India aims to demonstrate how community-led interventions can translate into meaningful and sustainable economic opportunities for women.
