ekincare Announces 100% Acquisition of AI-Powered Claims Adjudication Platform Superclaims

BusinessAdmin06 Jul 2026

India, July 06: Every year, India processes more than 3 crore health insurance claims, and that number is growing fast. Yet the moment that matters most to a patient, getting a claim approved so they can go home, still runs on manual document checks, fragmented systems, and disconnected stakeholders. At the hospital discharge counter, the average wait for cashless claim approval is 90 minutes. For a patient's family, already through the hardest part, that wait is not an operational metric. It is the healthcare system's last, avoidable failure.

Against this backdrop, ekincare, India's leading digital health platform, today announced the 100% acquisition of Superclaims, an AI-powered claims adjudication SaaS platform that automates health insurance claim assessments, reducing processing time from around 90 minutes to under 5 minutes.

Completing the ecosystem

ekincare has spent several years building the infrastructure that connects employers, who fund healthcare benefits, with employees who use them, and the healthcare providers who deliver care. However, one critical layer remained missing, the insurers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) who evaluate and settle health insurance claims.

Superclaims fills that gap. An AI-powered claims adjudication SaaS platform that plugs directly into an insurer's or TPA's existing workflow, it automates one of healthcare's most document-heavy and error-prone processes. With this acquisition, ekincare brings together employers, employees, healthcare providers, insurers and TPAs on a single intelligence layer, creating a more connected healthcare ecosystem.

The scale of the opportunity is significant. India's health insurers collectively paid out over INR 94,000 crore in claims in FY 2024-25. At this scale, even marginal inefficiencies translate into hundreds of crores in avoidable losses. For example, an insurer processing INR 500 crore in annual claims could recover nearly INR 5 crore with just a 1% improvement in leakage control.

Industry Impact Today With Superclaims Manual claim review; 90 minutes AI-assisted review; under 5 minutes Insurers and TPAs work in silos One connected healthcare infrastructure Unstructured claims data Claims intelligence for fraud detection and better underwriting High leakage from human error Automated checks that catch ineligible, duplicate, or inflated claims

Commenting on the acquisition, Kiran Kalakuntla, Co-founder & CEO, ekincare, said; "Healthcare has traditionally evolved in silos. Employers manage benefits; providers deliver care, while insurers and TPAs process claim independently. We believe the future of healthcare lies in connecting these ecosystems through intelligence. Superclaims brings the missing insurance layer onto our platform, enabling us to build digital healthcare infrastructure that serves every stakeholder, from employers and employees to providers, insurers and TPAs. This moves us beyond healthcare benefits towards creating a truly connected healthcare ecosystem."

Serving over 2 million employees across more than 1,000+ organisations, ekincare has built one of India's largest enterprise healthcare platforms. The acquisition expands its addressable market beyond corporate healthcare into the broader insurance technology ecosystem while creating opportunities to deepen relationships across employers, insurers and healthcare providers.

Commenting on the acquisition, Bhavish Ramaswamy, Founder & CEO, Superclaims, said: “At Superclaims, we've always believed that claims should be a source of confidence, not complexity. By using AI to automate one of healthcare's most manual processes, we've helped insurers and TPAs make faster and more accurate decisions. Joining ekincare enables us to take that impact further by connecting claims with the broader healthcare ecosystem, creating a more seamless experience for every stakeholder involved.”

Maneesh Daithala Co-Founder & CTO, Superclaims also added: “Building Superclaims has always been about solving a problem that impacts millions of patients every year. We believed AI could do far more than automate paperwork; it could help insurers make faster, more consistent, and explainable decisions. Joining ekincare marks the next chapter of that journey, allowing us to scale our technology across the healthcare ecosystem while continuing to innovate at the intersection of AI and insurance”

As part of the acquisition, Bhavish Ramaswamy, Co-Founder & CEO of Superclaims, and Maneesh Daithala, Co-Founder & CTO along with the broader leadership team, will continue in their respective roles and will report to the senior leadership at ekincare, ensuring continuity and sustained innovation. The Superclaims brand will continue to operate independently, while benefiting from ekincare’s broader platform and distribution network.

The acquisition is expected to unlock new growth opportunities by expanding ekincare's presence across insurers and TPAs, increasing wallet share within its existing enterprise customer base and creating cross-sell opportunities across both businesses. It also positions both ekincare & superclaims to expand beyond India as an AI-powered SaaS platform for insurance companies globally.
