
Panjim, Mar 16th: The incoming leadership brings together deep expertise in industrial manufacturing and maritime engineering a combination well-suited to the priorities Goa's industry faces in the coming year. Mr. Mahendra Wani, Country Head – Business Segment, Siemens Ltd. has been elected as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Goa Council for the year 2026-27 while Mr. Prasad Prabhakar Sawant, CEO, Buoyancy Consultants has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Goa Council for the year 2026-27.
“Through strategic partnerships with industry, government, and civil society, we aim to secure a future where Goa thrives as a dynamic and sustainable hub for business and community development.” Said Mr. Wani.
“It is an honour to serve as Vice Chairman, CII Goa. I believe every industry member can be a catalyst for positive change, and together we can build a stronger, more future‑ready Goa. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow CII members as we learn, grow, and create lasting impact as one unified ecosystem.” Said Mr. Sawant
Their names were announced at the ‘CII Goa Annual Meeting 2026’ organized under the theme ‘Competitive Industry, Confident India: Goa's Role’ featuring two substantive business sessions that formed the intellectual centrepiece of the programme.
