Ltd. today announced the launch of the NIKKOR Z 24–105mm f/4–7.1, a highly portable standard zoom lens designed for full-frame/FX-format Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. Combining versatility, mobility, and impressive close-up capability, the lens empowers creators to express their vision across a wide range of photographic and video scenarios.

Covering a broad focal range from wide-angle 24mm to medium telephoto 105mm, the NIKKOR Z 24–105mm f/4–7.1 is well suited for capturing expansive landscapes, everyday street scenes, portraits, travel moments, and detailed table-top photography. Despite its wide zoom range, the lens weighs approximately 350 grams, ensuring exceptional portability and comfort during extended shoots and travel.

The lens supports close-up shooting with a minimum focus distance of 0.2 m at the wide-angle end and 0.28 m at the telephoto end, allowing photographers to create striking compositions with pronounced foreground and background blur. With a maximum reproduction ratio of 0.5× at focal lengths between 70mm and 105mm*, users can capture subjects larger in the frame while rendering fine details with clarity and depth.

Designed for both stills and video, the lens incorporates a stepping motor (STM) that delivers fast, smooth, and quiet autofocus performance, making it ideal for video recording. Users can further extend zoom capabilities up to an equivalent focal length of 210mm using the camera’s Hi-Res Zoom feature¹², without compromising image resolution.
