India, 05th November, 2025: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a futuristic concept it's an operational reality. According to Fortinet, over 90% of organizations across India are already leveraging AI within their security environments. Companies are moving rapidly from AI-powered detection to more advanced applications, including automated response, predictive threat modeling, AI-driven incident response, AI-powered threat intelligence, and behavioral analytics. These five use cases highlight that while detection is now table stakes, response, prediction, and orchestration represent the next frontier in cybersecurity.

Generative AI (GenAI) adoption is also on the rise, primarily for “light-touch” tasks such as running playbooks, updating rules and policies, detecting social engineering attempts, writing detection rules, and supporting guided investigations. However, trust in fully autonomous action remains limited. Use cases like auto-remediation and guided remediation are not yet widely deployed, indicating that organizations remain in the “co-pilot” phase of AI adoption.
