Kochi, Oct 06: Apollo Adlux Hospital marks World Heart Day with an 8-km marathon on Saturday, bringing together participants to promote heart health and encourage active and healthy living. The marathon was flagged off by Reetha Paul, Chairperson, Angamaly Municipality; Benny Behanan, MP; and ASP Hardik Meena IPS.
The event witnessed participation from people across the community, including a cancer survivor who completed the marathon, adding an inspiring message of resilience and determination to the initiative. ASP Hardik Meena IPS also participated in the marathon and completed the 8-km run, joining the participants in spreading the message of fitness and healthy living.
The marathon highlighted the importance of regular physical activity and preventive healthcare in maintaining cardiovascular health. The initiative also encouraged people to adopt healthier lifestyle choices and make fitness a part of their daily lives.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners, recognising their participation and achievement in the marathon.
