Bengaluru, India; July 17: Skope Kitchens, India’s first premium Kitchen-as-a-Service platform helping food brands launch and scale through managed kitchen infrastructure and operational expertise, is preparing to raise Rs. 20 crore in a seed funding round, to support its next phase of expansion across India.
The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its presence in existing markets, enter new cities, expand its technology capabilities, and onboard more food brands onto its platform.
Unlike traditional restaurant expansion models that require significant investment in real estate, kitchen setup, manpower, and operations, Skope Kitchens offers an integrated platform where restaurant owners and aspiring entrepreneurs can operate multiple brands through a single managed kitchen. The model enables partners to focus on building their business while Skope manages the operational backbone.
As consumer demand continues to shift towards delivery-first dining, the company believes restaurant entrepreneurs are looking for faster and more flexible ways to expand without relying on conventional franchise models. Through Skope Kitchens, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to operate multiple established food brands from a single location, reducing the time and investment typically associated with launching new outlets. Further strengthening this model, the company’s strategic partnership with Speed Kitchen provides access to 25+ commercial kitchen locations, accelerating Skope Kitchens’ expansion and supporting its vision of building a pan-India Kitchen-as-a-Service network.
Today, Skope Kitchens powers 15+ food brands across multiple locations through its Kitchen-as-a-Service platform. Its growing portfolio includes Kritunga, Kochi Kurry Klub (KKK), Eleven Bakehouse, Al Mashawi Shawarma, and Swanky Spoon Society. Building on this momentum, the company recently announced a strategic partnership with Speed Kitchen, combining commercial kitchen real estate expertise with operational capabilities to create a more integrated expansion model for food brands.
Speaking about the vision, Arvind Krishnan, Founder & CEO, Skope Kitchens, said: “We’re seeing a shift in how restaurant businesses want to grow. Entrepreneurs today are looking for flexible operating models that allow them to expand without large upfront investments. This fundraise will help us accelerate that vision, with 30% invested in technology, 40% towards expanding into new cities, and 30% allocated to working capital. Our focus remains on building the infrastructure and operational ecosystem that enables food brands to scale efficiently.”
Tom Mathew, Co-Founder & COO, Skope Kitchens, added: “As we expand into new cities, our focus is on building operational systems that can scale with the business. The capital will help us strengthen our processes, technology, and execution capabilities, enabling us to support more brands without compromising on consistency”
As part of its growth roadmap, Skope Kitchens is also investing in technology-led operational systems, including AI-enabled analytics that help improve kitchen efficiency, operational visibility, and decision-making across locations.
With plans to expand into additional cities over the coming months, Skope Kitchens aims to create a scalable ecosystem where restaurant brands can launch, operate, and grow through a shared infrastructure model with zero upfront capex while expanding across multiple locations. The company believes this approach offers food brands a more efficient and scalable path to growth across India.
